How owning AI deployment expands your career

Across product, ops, and CX teams, a new kind of role is taking shape: the person responsible for making AI actually work, day to day. In this roundtable, three people living this shift share what it's really like: Simone Santiago Broad (Yoco), Yelva Espinoza (Zumba Fitness), and Fin's Dave Lynch. You'll hear how they carved out these roles, what the job looks like across industries, the skills they'd hire for, and the challenges they're tackling right now.

Hello AI Founder, Innovator, and Explorer!

Welcome to this week's issue of The AI Space Podcast Newsletter.

Tomorrow is the day. The AI Policy Summit 2026, co-hosted with UTDesign Capstone, takes place Thursday, July 30 at the SSA Auditorium on the UT Dallas campus in Richardson. Registration & Coffee/Water run from 8:00 to 9:00 AM.

Three weeks ago this was a vision and imagination. Tomorrow, 150+ AI founders, investors, policymakers, economic development leaders, legal voices, and academics sit in the same room and work the harder questions: how AI gets built, governed, and deployed responsibly. In the year of America's 250th anniversary, that conversation is critical.

If you have not registered, there is still time. Grab your ticket here.

Never say never. I never thought I would do an unboxing video. Then two Telly Awards showed up in two heavy black boxes in the mail, so I opened them on camera. The podcast is the Winner of Two Telly Awards 2026. The awards belong to the guests who shared their playbooks and to every one of you who watched, replied, and showed up.

I am also working with Go HighLevel, the all-in-one digital marketing software that thousands of agencies and entrepreneurs use as their CRM to put every marketing need for small business owners in one place. More on that below.

I am grateful you are a valuable member helping to build this community and ecosystem.

DOUBLE UNBOXING

Two Telly Awards, Two Different Judges

Never say never. I never thought I would ever do an "unboxing" video. What a waste of time and who would want to really watch that?

Then two Telly Awards 2026 showed up in two heavy black boxes in the mail, so I unboxed and opened them on camera. No funded script, no AI slop, just a bootstrapper opening two heavy black boxes and talking honestly about what outside validation means after 4.2 million views.

  • People's Choice Silver, Online Series and Shows, voted by the public.

  • Editor's Silver, Online Series and Education, from the Telly Awards Judging Council, 250+ industry judges from Google, HBO, Netflix, and Adobe.

Winning both in year one means the show landed with the industry and the audience.

I was getting feedback from folks, you should do this and that. But I know my ICP, so I stayed focused and didn't get distracted by what others say.

Sanjay Kalluvilayil

Is it perfect? No. Still bootstrapped, still iterating, still just trying to have authentic conversations with AI founders and technology innovators who are actually building with AI. The awards say the direction is right, not that the work is done.

NEW PARTNERSHIP!

Special Partnership Announcement: Go HighLevel!

I am excited to announce a special partnership with Go HighLevel, an all-in-one digital marketing software tool. Thousands of agencies and entrepreneurs leverage HighLevel as a CRM to help small business owners have all their marketing needs in one place.

I run both The AI Space Podcast and Stonehaas Advisors as a solopreneur.
I am working with them to help me automate the operational layer: CRM, pipelines, follow-up sequences, event workflows.

If you are a founder or operator running lean and stitching together five tools that do not talk to each other, it is worth a look.

Until the next issue, Space Cowboy!
